Get Healthy and Swim!

Time to build your dream backyard inground pool! There are many reasons why you need to add exercise to your daily regime. Of course, the most obvious is to lose weight and get in shape. Spring is right around the corner, so consider having convenient daily access to your fitness solution- a new pool!

The CDC says there are other benefits to consider: Water-Based Exercise and Chronic Illness

Water-based exercise can help people with chronic diseases. For people with arthritis, it improves use of affected joints without worsening symptoms 1. People with rheumatoid arthritis have more health improvements after participating in hydrotherapy than with other activities 2. Water-based exercise also improves the use of affected joints and decreases pain from osteoarthritis 3.

Swimming is a win-win for getting into shape. One major benefit being that it helps arthritis sufferers with improvements to their joints which is due in part to it’s low-impact, high cardio aspect which aides in weight-loss as well. Anytime you lose weight it reduces the amount of stress and weight on the joints making the healing process that much more powerful.
